Biography

I am concerned with the German language in its development and use. In my research I focus on construction-grammatical approaches, indexing and machine analysis of language in the context of the Digital Humanities, discourse- and domain-specific communication in the past and present, functional and regional varieties, and issues in applied linguistics.

In general, I follow the principles of the open access community in my teaching and research, and I am committed to the establishment of Open Educational Resources (OER). I pay special attention to collaborative forms of work and making the interlocking of research and teaching visible.
