Biography

José Luis Chávez-Hurtado was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, on November 30, 1985. He received the B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO), Guadalajara, Mexico, in 2003, as well as the Masters degree in eletronic design in 2009 and the Ph.D. degree in engineering sciences in 2017.He also received Master degree in business and economics studies from University of Guadalajara (UDG), Mexico, in 2012.
Since 2011, he has been Adjunct Professor in the Department of Cuantitative Methods, CUCEA, UDG. Also, since 2014 he has been Adjunct Professor in the Department of Electronics, Systems and Informatics, ITESO. His research focuses on the design, modeling and optimization of high-frequency circuits, exploiting surrogate techniques.
José Luis Chávez-Hurtado was the recipient of a 2010-2012 Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT) scholarship presented by the Mexican Government for the Master studies, as well as a 2015-2017 CONACYT scholarship for the Ph.D. studies. From 2017 to 2018 he is the president of the IEEE student branch at ITESO.
