Biography

Dr Arnold is an Associate Professor in Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney. During his PhD, awarded in 2005, he developed innovative patterning techniques for obliquely deposited anisotropic optical coatings. He then took up a post-doctoral position investigating plasmonic enhancement of near-field optical lithography. In 2007 he was appointed as a Lecturer at UTS, where he has been researching optimizing plasmonic resonators, and applications of optical nanostructures to sensing, solar control, and computing.
