Biography
Lorena Alcaraz, received her Ph. D. in Chemistry at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) (2016) with a qualification of distinction Cum Laude. She studied Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences (2012) and a Master's in Chemical Science and Technology (2013) both at the UCM. In addition, she has completed her education with several specialized and technical courses.
In 2017, she was incorporated at the National Center for Metallurgical Research (CENIM-CSIC) in the Eco-innovative Technologies applied to Environmental Processes (TecnoEco) group through a postdoctoral grant. She has published 39 scientific papers with more than 350 citations in SCI journals. Her h-index is 10. She actively collaborates with several international groups (e.g. Centre for Sustainable and Circular Technologies, University of Bath, Bath, UK; Instituto Superior Técnico-Universidade de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal; Universidad Yachay Tech, Ecuador). She is also co-editor of special issue title Advances in recovery technologies of strategic metals, in Frontiers in Chemical Engineering journal, and a reviewer for several MDPI and Elsevier journals.
