Biography

Akhtar Munir received his MSc and M.Phil degree in Ana/Inorg Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan during 2012-16. He did his PhD from the department of chemistry and chemical engineering, SBA school of science of engineering, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, Pakistan. His PhD research work is mainly focused to develop facile and scalable protocols for the synthesis of earth-abundant transition metal ((Ni, Cu, Co, Fe, Mn) nanoclusters (NCs) and theirs alloys based electrocatalyst for electrochemical water splitting-A sustainable source of energy. In addition, decoration of these metal NCs/NPs on different support (Graphene, CNT, TiO2 and functionalized porous materials) followed by exploration of all these composite materials as heterogeneous nanocatalyst for: Photo/electrochemical water splitting, solar cell and related renewable energy conversion and storage processes.
