Biography

Anna Selini Petropoulou has a background in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering. Since 2018 she is a researcher in the Greenhouse Horticulture Business Unit at Wageningen University & Research. Her occupational field is the digital transformation and integration of emerging, high-tech applications in greenhouse horticulture. She works on increasing understanding and efficiency of current greenhouse management using smart sensing and on the development of sensor-driven intelligent algorithms with mechanistic and AI models. She is involved in projects on remote cultivation such as the international “Autonomous Greenhouse Challenge”.
