Biography

My main research interest is in major depression and in the application of an integrative approach, spanning from molecules to the quality of the living environment, in understanding the neural bases of mood disorders and antidepressant efficacy. My current efforts are directed to the investigation of the mechanisms of action of serotoninergic antidepressants in relationship with brain serotonin function, neural plasticity and life quality of the life environment analyzing large clinical dataset through complex data analyses to unravel the complexity of the etiology and treatment of multifactorial disorders
