Biography
Joanna has a background in architecture (B. Arch. / American University of Beirut) and new media and digital design (MA / University of Art and Design Helsinki and PhD /Aalto University). Her work focuses on participation, particularly in the way civic participation intersects with participation in the design of digital technology and services, thus emphasising a democratic approach to digital design.
