Biography

Ila R. Fiete is a Professor at MIT in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. She is Director of the K. Lisa Yang Integrative Computational Neuroscience Center, and Associate Investigator in the McGovern Institute. Previously, Dr. Fiete was an Associate and Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and Director of the Center for Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience, a Broad Fellow in Brain Sciences at CalTech, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics. She received her PhD in Physics from Harvard University. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan she graduated with a B.S. in Physics and a B.S. in Mathematics.
