Biography

Jayaramakrishnan Velusamy is a Young Principal Investigator at the EU -H2020 funded FUNCrystals project in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He has received the prestigious Marie Skłodowska Curie independent fellowship in late 2021 from EU-H2020. His research focuses on developing and applying novel bioimaging nanoprobes, mainly using nanophotonics at the cutting edge. Before, he has gained postdoctoral experience and research associate experience from the Mexican science and technology council's Optics Research Center and the University of Guanajuato, Mexico, respectively. He obtained his Masters and Doctorate in Physics from the Bharathiar University, India in 2008, and 2014, respectively.
