Biography
Jana Bikovska obtained her Bachelor of Engineering Science degree in 2000, a Master’s degree in Information Technology (with distinction) in 2003, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies (System Analysis, Modelling and Design) in 2022, all from Riga Technical University (RTU). Her doctoral thesis was titled "Development of a Scenario-Based Approach to Simulation Games Management."
Since 2003, she has worked in the Department of Modelling and Simulation at the RTU Institute of Information Technology, initially as a research assistant and lecturer. She later advanced her career as a researcher and assistant professor, delivering lectures and conducting laboratory and practical classes for both local and international students. Her research interests focus on the application of modern information and communication technologies in the development of simulation games, alongside the creation and management of methods for generating, modelling, and managing simulation game scenarios. Her recent research areas include supply chain simulation, manufacturing planning and control, and cybersecurity in supply chains.
