Biography
I am an Aspiring Researcher with a PhD in Food Science and Technology (Dr. Mutamed’s Lab). Currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Dr. Oni's lab, primarily focusing on the valorization of food by-products. During my PhD, I specialized in isolating, characterizing, and exploring the bioactivities of EPS from lactic acid bacteria. I also studied the impact of these EPS on the gut microbiome using in vitro faecal fermentation. My expertise includes advanced microbiological techniques and analytical methods such as HPLC and FTIR.
Additionally, I have gained experience in Molecular Biology at Yenepoya University and worked on drug-resistant bacteria during my Master's at Vels University. I have a strong interest in Probiotics, Prebiotics, Gut Microbiome, Antimicrobial resistance and Bacterial infectious diseases. I have grown a passion for understanding how diet and microbial interactions influence health and disease, and I am committed to contributing to advancements in this field. I aim to leverage my skills and knowledge to drive innovative research that can lead to practical applications in food science and human health.
