Biography

Stefano Villani is Professor of Early Modern European History at the University of Maryland, College Park. He received the Ph.D. in early modern history from the Scuola Normale Superiore in 1999. From 2002 until 2013 he was a member of the Department of History at the University of Pisa. He has worked on the cultural and religious links between Italy and Britain and published numerous articles and books in this area.
