Biography
• January 2023 – to date: post doc position at University of Florence, Health Sciences Department
• September 2021 – August 2022: as GMP Specialist at InnovaVector, Pozzuoli thanks to my expertise in writing and reviewing scientific protocols, I had the role to write SOPs and MBRs important for the Production Area of the GMP. Moreover, thanks to my knowledges on AAV viral vector production, I performed several experiments and studies that were finally useful to achieve strong economic benefits for the company and to have an improve in the yield and quality of the final product.
• January 2017 – December 2019: as PhD student at the Institute of Biology of Valrose in Nice, I was involved in project regarding the retina and transcription factor Otx2. Molecular and Biochemical Techniques from my background were fundamental for the project management. An invitation to an international meeting of specialists, a scientific publication and some awards were the major benefits the laboratory and I achieved thanks to these investigations.
• December 2015 - December 2016: as owner of a fellowship in the laboratory of F. M. Pisani at the Institute of Protein Biochemistry, in Naples, I was involved in a DNA repair and Sister Chromatid Cohesion mechanisms – related project. My expertise and the capacity to organize a collaboration with other researchers were strongly useful to achieve a scientific publication. These studies are now well cited by other researchers and were useful for the laboratory to get new funds. Obtained data were also presented in Intercontinental and National Meetings, giving to the laboratory new opportunities to trace collaborations.
• December 2014 – November 2015: as voluntary trainee in the laboratory of G. C. Bellenchi at the Institute of Genetics and Biophysics Adriano Buzzati Traverso , in Naples, I participated to a project regarding the role of microRNAs on dopaminergic neurons development and organization in midbrain. Thanks to my Molecular Biology background, I had the role to produce new single guide RNAs by cloning strategies and new variants of Cas 9 gene by mutagenesis with the goal to knock out specific miRNA genes in midbrain dopaminergic neurons at specific stages, in vitro and then in vivo
• March 2014 – November 2014: trainee in the clinical laboratory of Polydiagnostic Center Ascione & Panella s.r.l., Torre del Greco (Naples) Training objective(s): to learn and carry out routine clinical analyses
• May 2012 – July 2013: Under-graduate student in the laboratory of E. Biffali at the “Stazione Zoologica A. Dohrn”, Naples
Project objective(s): to characterize the expression pattern of several genes involved in sensory organs pigmentation during embryonic development of Ascidian models
• September 2009 – March 2010: undergraduate student (Bachelor’s degree) in the laboratory of D. Fulgione at the University Federico II, Naples Project objective(s): to investigate on the phylogenetic relationships in Rana lessonae complex by molecular approaches
