Biography

I work on tropical diseases classified by the WHO as neglected tropical diseases. Specifically, her studies focus on filarial infections of Onchocerca volvulus (onchocerciasis), Wuchereria bancrofti (lymphatic filariasis), Loa loa (loasis), Mansonella perstans etc. I am concerned with the health and well-being of people. My research work is directed towards investigating diagnostic assessments already in use, researching new diagnostic tools or new biomarkers that can be used for accurate diagnosis or perhaps treatment. I’m also interested in treatment of filariasis using plant extract. The aim of all is to implement control strategies and elimination of these parasites. I’m passionate about health policies at the national and international level
