Biography

After more than two decades dedicated to hippotherapy and a diploma of "Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning", Hélène Viruega-Bogros created with her husband in 2012, the first Equiphoria Institute at La Canourgue, France (www.equiphoria.com), a private hippotherapy establishment for disabled people. Her experience and innovative vision of hippotherapy practice, closely linked to medicine and neurosciences, have enabled her to design a whole methodology for patient care in the rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation fields. Serial entrepreneur in Scotland, France and the United States, she is an Ashoka Fellow from 2016.
