Biography
I am an assistant lecturer with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering specializing in construction materials and extensive hands-on experience in both academic and practical settings. My educational background includes a Master’s degree from Salahaddin University, where my research focused on “Evaluating Bond Strength of Polymer Modified Cement Mortar Incorporated with Fibers for Adhesive and Repair Applications.” This research, along with my strong performance in standard tests such as the pull-off and slant-shear tests, has provided me with a deep understanding of construction materials, particularly concrete and mortars.
During my time at LafargeHolcim-Iraq Co. and Erbil Construction Laboratory, I gained practical experience in concrete and asphalt testing. Additionally, my role as a Material Testing Engineer at Al-Hadeetha Company allowed me to develop and operate proficiency testing programs, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC standards. My responsibilities included providing technical support, preparing and handling testing items, analyzing results, and maintaining safety standards.
In the academic year 2023, I had the privilege of teaching at the Pirmam Institute in Erbil. I instructed three courses: Industrial Workplace Safety, Construction Materials, and Construction Practice. This experience not only honed my teaching and communication skills but also allowed me to impart practical and theoretical knowledge to the next generation of civil engineers.
Currently, as an academic researcher at the Scientific Research Center of Soran University, I am collaborating with a professional team on various projects in the field of civil engineering. I also serve as a volunteer reviewer for several Scopus and Clarivate journals and am a board member of the ACI Kurdistan Chapter. My pedagogical certification from the Lebanese French University further demonstrates my commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
