Biography
Marcel Tapsou Baina is a PhD candidate in Molecular Biology and Applied Immunology at Université Marien NGOUABI. He is affiliated with the Congolese Foundation for Medical Research (FCRM), where he is working on his thesis on biodiversity and resistance of Plasmodium falciparum to antimalarial drugs, as well as contributing to cutting-edge research on other infectious diseases. At the FCRM, he plays a key role in the supervision of trainees, mentoring the next generation of researchers in molecular biology, immunology, and parasitology techniques. Marcel has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles, including studies, and has contributed over 700 sequences to GenBank. International conferences have showcased his work, demonstrating his dedication to the advancement of scientific knowledge and public health in Africa. Marcel's expertise in next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics positions him as a key figure in the fight against infectious diseases in the region.
