Biography
I am a dedicated public health professional with a strong academic foundation and extensive research experience, holding a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) from SZABIST and a Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Karachi. My academic pursuits reflect a commitment to addressing both public health and social challenges. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD at AGH University, where my research focuses on the social and environmental impacts of the cement industry on communities located near cement plants. During my tenure as a Research Associate at the Institute for Global Health & Development at Aga Khan University, I played a key role in conducting literature reviews, managing data collection, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. My research has centred on critical public health issues such as vaccine deployment, paediatric health, and the health challenges faced by migrants and refugees in Pakistan, with a focus on access to healthcare and the effects of displacement on vulnerable populations. Previously, as a Research Officer at the Trust for Vaccine and Immunization, I coordinated with stakeholders and supervised research teams, contributing to studies on Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in adolescents, polio eradication efforts, and COVID-19 vaccine deployment for refugees. Many of these studies have been published in peer-reviewed journals, reflecting my ongoing commitment to advancing public health through evidence-based research.
